Thank you for trusting us with a little of your story. When you share your name, your email, or a prayer request, you are trusting us with something personal, and we take that seriously.

This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect, how we use it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. She Trusted God is based in Maryland, United States. When this policy says "we" or "us," that is who we mean.

What We Collect

What you give us when you sign up. Our sign-up form asks for:

Your first name
Your email address
A prayer request, if you choose to share one (this is always optional)

What you share by email. If you reply to one of our emails or write to us, we receive your message and anything you choose to include.

What is collected automatically. Like most websites, our site and email tools collect some basic technical information, such as your browser and device type, general location (city or country, based on your IP address), the pages you visit, and whether you open or click our emails. This helps us understand what is helpful and keep things running smoothly.

We do not ask for payment information on this site. The devotional journal is sold through Amazon, so any purchase happens on Amazon's site, not ours.

How We Use It

We use your information only to serve you and this community:

To send you the free gifts you signed up for, notes of encouragement, Bible study materials, and invitations to our live sessions, including the Zoom link
To pray for you, if you shared a prayer request
To answer your questions when you write to us
To understand which pages and emails are helpful, so we can make them better
To keep the site secure and working properly

Your Prayer Requests

A prayer request is a sacred trust. Here is how we handle yours:

Your prayer request is read only by Sonya and a small team of trusted prayer partners.
We never post your prayer request publicly, share it with other members, or use your name with it, without first asking your permission.
We never use prayer requests for marketing.
If you would like a prayer request removed from our records, just email us and we will delete it.

Please share only what you are comfortable sharing. You never need to include details about your health or other personal matters for us to pray for you. "Please pray for me" is always enough.

Who Helps Us

We use a few trusted services to run this site and community. They handle information on our behalf, and each has its own privacy policy:

Wix hosts our website.
Kit (formerly ConvertKit) stores our email list, including the sign-up form information, and sends our emails.
YouTube hosts our prayer video. When you play the video on our site, YouTube may collect information according to its own policy.
Zoom hosts our live Bible study sessions.
Amazon sells the devotional journal. When you follow a link to Amazon, Amazon's privacy policy applies.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever. We share it only with the services above, so they can do the work we have asked them to do, or if the law requires it.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies, which are small files stored in your browser, to remember settings, keep the site secure, and understand how visitors use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some features may not work as smoothly.

Your Choices

Unsubscribe anytime. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click, and you will not hear from us again.

We use reputable services with strong security, and we limit who can see your information. No website or email system can promise perfect security, but we do our best to protect what you share with us.

If You Live Outside the United States

Women from all over the world are welcome here. Please know that the services we use store information in the United States, so your information will be handled there.

Children

Our community is for adult women. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, please email us and we will delete their information.

Changes to this Policy

If we change how we handle your information, for example when our private community group opens, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will let you know by email.
